The Pampas (flat lands) once belonged to the gaucho, a mythical man who roamed the plain without a patron, without an owner, and without law.

These meadows dotted with thousands of head of cattle are the basis of the best meat in the world.

Watch some gauchos working with cows, dusty country roads, a century-old "Pulpería" (store and bar for gauchos) at a crossroads, some old men chatting inside the "Pulpería". These are some postcards of the "Estancia" and its surroundings.

DAY 1

BUENOS AIRES - IN THE HEART OF LAS PAMPAS
 Observe the gaucho spirit of the 18th century in the middle of La Pampa.
Get to know two bastions of the gaucho tradition, the cities of Mercedes and San Antonio de Areco, they are the oldest and most picturesque in the Argentine countryside.
Here we will discover the soul and character of the gaucho.
Take a break in an authentic two hundred year old Gauchos Pulperia (Grocery store & bar).
Accommodation in a nice hotel in a small town, in the middle of Las Pampas.
Driving distance: 130 km.

DAY 2

SAN ANTONIO DE ARECO - ESTANCIA 
 Enter the sea of ​​cereals of Las Pampas.
Get to know the hidden part of the Paraná River Delta.
Cross the region of the great rivers,experience an authentic Pampas Estancia life in full operation. A cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished place.
Delight yourself with a true Argentine "asado" (Local barbecue)
Accommodation in the estancia.
Driving distance: 250 km.

DAY 3

AT THE ESTANCIA 
Enjoy an authentic ranching experience in a rural establishment.
Talk to real gauchos and learn more about the daily life and jobs of the Argentine countryside.
Get to know the experience of rural life through the owners of the estancia.
Ride a horse accompanied by the gauchos.
Accommodation in the estancia.

DAY 4

ESTANCIA - BUENOS AIRES 
Return to Buenos Aires.
Driving distance: 300 km.


Optional Extension to Uruguay

Optionally, you can make a brief extension to another Argentine estancia for new experiences or cross the border to Uruguay, a subtly different environment, where you can enjoy small boutique wineries and visit Colonia del Sacramento, a small and cozy city declared a World Heritage Site.

DAY 4: ESTANCIA - CARMELO 
Entering Uruguay the vineyards seems that will take over the landscape.
Get to know Carmelo, a quiet river town
Here the wineries produce only a few thousand bottles of fine wines a year, which are sold almost exclusively on site. Accommodation in Carmelo.
Driving distance: 220 Km.

DAY 5: CARMELO
Visit boutique wineries, synonymous of the good wine.
Taste exclusive wines, served by the owner or the main winemaker.
Each vineyard is very different from one another.
Learn about the history of wine in Uruguay and its main strain, the Tanat grape.

DAY 6: CARMELO - COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO
Sometimes you can find a model 1950 car, yet rolling on their streets and roads!!!
Enjoy the rest of the day in Colonia Del Sacramento, a true Spanish and Portuguese colonial style small city.
Fall in love with the "historic center town" with its old houses, cobbled streets, old cars and artisans.
Cross the Río de la Plata on a fast catamaran to Buenos Aires, like approaching to Manhattan!!
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, already evening, will transfer you to the hotel.
Driving and sailing distances: 60 Km. to Colonia and 61 Km to Buenos Aires on board a fast catamaran.
